Korg MicroKontrol - Velocity

Could some1 explain the velocity setting (with fx trigger by midi) can't figure out what it does. Shame that velocity isn't used for the sliders for example. Something config settings in the midi mapping would be nice to, for example the 50% use of the slider, while General Midi sends out 127, interpret x0.5 would be nice. shouldn't be to hard to program
