i ve got a new one..

i want a video clip cutter... currently you can cut the time of a clip moving the little bars on the edges.

but it would be great to sync a clip to beat. so that for every one, two or 4 beats its starts over, how to do it?? have the option to set the start and stop points with the keyboard.. or set the start point with the mouse for example. click enter to start playing and enter to cut and loop.

anyone up for it?

Did you try i & o on the keyboard? they set in & out points on the active clip - just as you would move your "little bars on the edges".
You can also map "toggle direction" to space key - perhaps the easiest solution for video scratching; you just hit space every * beats...and move your clip back and fore..
Setting the in & out points in realtime, looping it to meet the music beat and hoping to keep the sync - man you must be REALLY precise with your keyboard strokes! Guess that's humanly impossible.

take care, happy mixin'!

i am also a dj and i worked once with a piece of software that could do this to clips.. i dont remember the name... it was great.. but a bit basic.. it could only do this.. and it worked fine for about a minute then it would get out of sync. but they had a little button like the + and - pitch bend on audio dj equipment to help you get it back in track...

i scratching doesnt really do it for me because i handle two outputs and two video mixers, so i am looking set all up, and play with the mixers for a couple of minutes, and then start setting up a synced clip on the 3rd computer..
