Macbook pro 13 inch 2,53Ghz slow

Post by Romberto »

Hi!

I have a question. I am thinking to upgrade Resolume 3, So I am testing the latest version of Resolume Avenue 3.3.1. It's working and it's stable. But Resolume Avenue reacts slow. Especially when I change the decks (from Flash to StupDep of the Demo Content), the output window freezes (0,5 second or so).

Can I fix this with some extra memory and a faster harddisk? Or do i have to buy a faster Macbook, this laptop is a (free) company laptop :-)...

My macbook specs are:

Macbook Pro, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2,53 GHz, 13 Inch, 4 GB Memory, Nvidia Geforce 9400 (I am not shure if it's shared memory).

Who can help me? Thanks!

Greetings Romberto

13" only have (9400) geforce with shared memory... so the main performance problem should be your graphic card :|
MainSys: Z77 UP5,3570K,32GB Ram,GTX 285, M3 128GB,4x3TB R5@LSI9750

Hi HerrNieDa,

Thanks for your reply! Too bad my MacBook can't handle Resolume 3. So I am looking for a cheap alternative, Apple of course. ;-)

But I am a noop with requirements. I saw a secondhand G5 with the following requirements:

PowerMac G5 Dual 4Ghz, 2GB ram, 400gb hdd. Can this Mac handle Resolume Avenue (with a faster hdd and extra memory)?

Thanks,

Romberto!
