Hello, I am starting out and living far from any VJ's(Cartagena, colombia)... - need some feedback urgently........
I have a good laptop, but no special video card, I am having a problem monitoring the mix on the resolume interace if I undock the dual monitor, the monitoring on the first screen goes blank.....How do I fix this? I had installed the free resolume about 6 months ago and it worked then, but not anymore??
Also I tried to save all my footage in 320 x 240 in premiere but it was not possible, I kept getting a black border, so I saved it in 360x240 instead, is this ok???
And finaly I have alot of original "tropical" footage I would like to post on my website to give away and would like some technical advice on how to do this??
thanks, Vanessa

Hi Vanessa,

320-240 shouldnt be a problem for premiere (i do it all the time)
just be sure u have all the settings correct like: codec, framerate, keyframe every frame and stuff like that...
maybe u have turned on the cropping feature in premiere and set the scale to 320-240 button on? those are all in the last settings tab when u export the timeline, above the gamma correction... hope this helps...

good luck, SuperficiaL...

Hello Superficial, It seems you are using premiere 6 to me, with which I had no problems either, I am presently using premiere 7 (pro) and its very strange, I had not put every frame as keyframe or deinterlaced, so I tried that and it worked twice, then on the third try (all settings the same) I got the balck lines again.....wierd shit.................on the premiere forum someone said that it was a bug??
Are you using premiere 6 or 7?

HEllo Superficial,
Its copied, not hacked, should be the same as an original?.......think I will start learning VEGA......But is 360x240 an OK solution...all my clips are that size at the moment?
Also, I have been able to output to projector but still have no monitoring in resolume interface.....is this a problem that is related to my video card settings? I noticed that if my computer is in dual monitor mode, and not conected to a second monitor, when I try to view an AVi in windows It doesnt appear in the windows player but floats above (can only see abit of the vid off in the top corner of screen). What do you think?

thanks VAnessa

hi vanessa,

in the settings of my videocard i can set a sort of video-overlay, i dont know which videocard u are using? maybe u have these settings to...
if its a matrox and u are using dvd-max then the preview should appear in resolume aswell as on ur second monitor...

good luck, SuperficiaL
