Urgent Help - Mapping Effects

Hi Guys, I have a big gig tomorrow, and I'm looking for some help with effects mapping.

Bascially I dont use an awful lot of effects at present. Mostly I just drag and drop the occasional effect and use the mouse to alter parameters.

I've tried to 'map' effects with my midi controller - but I've obviously got it wrong. The physical mapping works, but only for that particilar effect on a certain clip. Can someone explain the most effective way to map effects for on the fly use with resolume?

Do people apply effects by layer or composition in this fashion?

you can save the preset from the triggered effect and use this preset for the other clips.
worked fine for me also after restarting and reloading composition

normaly i apply my effects there where i want to have them
composition mapping affects the output, layer affects all the clips of the layer,
