last time i had a screen setup with 3 screens and with borders which i wanted to have.
the problem was that it was not really correct, but the 1 or 2 pixels didn't matter
maybe also the graphic card makes a small gap through driver settings?
but it seems the problem is at resolume that the pixels don't behave exactly.
so my suggested solution
where is the second monitor positioned?
on x axis it should be at 1280, if it's like that, maybe try to set it at 1279.
through the drifferent resolutions, aspect ratios and monitors i think that it's normal that you "lose" a pixel
on a matrox dual/triple head this should not happen!
i also think that a single gtx275 won't handle 3 outputs at a time! (1 for interface and 2 for projector)
I have tried to change the position with the nvidea control panel, I've even moved the beamers so the projections overlap but there is still a border. Only thing i can think of is that Resolume is outputting the border on purpose or indeed some strange driver problem.
Going to try the same setup tomorrow with a new pc, might solve the problem.
The GTX275 indeed has only 2 outputs, we used an GT240 for the third screen.
The new pc will have a fancy AMD 6000 series videocard. Will post an update as soon as we tried the new setup.
my suggestion was to set the x position directly in resolume, not with the nvidia control panel
i also would try to connect the 2 outputs both on the second graphic card! (maybe thats the problem with different graphic cards, especially if they are not from the same series and may not use the driver as expected)
performance should be the same!
This time the setup is:
Win 7 64 bit
Videocard: ATI 6970 with the latest drivers
2 Sanyo PLC-XF47 (1024x768 resolution) projectors connected via DVI (resolume inputs)
1 LCD screen via Displayport (to control resolume)
Composition with the size of 2048 x 786 (setup in advanced display is 2x 1024x768
The only source file we want to play is a .DXV file.
We see the line in both this source file when we play it and when we try a solid color.
Any ideas?
Installed the lastest drivers / directx and Resolume
You could try adjusting the horizontal pixel phasing 1 click on your projectors although this is not ideal and is really just a work around.
This facility may not be available on desktop projectors but on pro projectors you can edit the the input files and adjust the start positions of horizontal and vertical signals as well as the phasing.
Worth a try.
are you using 2 layers at 1024x768 format? 1 left and 1 right, in a composition of 2048x768?
In that case you could try to scale both layers to 101% . I'm using that trick also for the FFGL edge effect. Otherwise you get a border around the layer/clip/composition also. Don't know if this will work for you.
Also -mentioned earlier- the drivers could be the problem.. In your NVidia control panel you should be able to move the screens up/down/left/right to allign on the screens/projectors...
