thanks for the present, it got me thinking...
is there any way of designing our own plugins using freeframe or using a bmp like the balls seem to.
am slightly out of my depth as i don't know how hard this is to do?

the balls plugin is of course a freeframe plugin and i use the bitmap as a mask for the christmas balls. Every pixel in the bitmap that is a greyscale value is used as a mask. the colors in the bitmap (cap of the ball) are kept intact.
if you replace the bitmap with your own it will work. as long as it has the same dimensions.
