Clip stop with BIG FILE SIZE

Hello

I'm under Resolume 3.32 and i use uncompressed avi files of 2Go under win7 64.
(My laptop have 4Go of memory and my desktop 16go).
But when i trig a clip, the clip stop in the middle
Do you know why??

have you tried the clips in another format? ( DXV ? )

2gb is quite a large file.

I try the file 2Go with Gomplayer but no issue
I tried the same trig in DXV, no issue, but quality is too low
I Tried in Resolume 3.32 with a powerfull desktop (win7 64bits 16go) and i have the same issue.

Streaming uncompressed video fluently is a challenge for any system, and I'm surprised to hear other players can handle it.

We introduced DXV precisely for tasks as this, and receive very few complaints about the quality. We'd love to see both the original and DXV version of your clips side by side, and hear from you where it should be improved.

The issue here is that the clip stopped (definitely) when i use an uncompressed file and not about the quality of DXV codec (I used Procoder sometimes to convert a video file to DXV and there is really a difference on some files or some screens)

Many computers have now 12gb or 16gb of RAM
My question is :

Why my clip stopped when i used uncompressed files of 2.1Gb ??

Hey ExtonJaez

The amount of RAM you have in your computer is not related to the file size of your clips, so putting more RAM into your computer has no influence on your issue.

The uncompressed clip stops because Avenue is an application designed for doing live video, and using uncompressed footage is not suited for that. Uncompressed footage is used in broadcast or film industries (and even there not so much), when picture quality is of more importance than performance. We provide you with the DXV codec which gives the highest quality possible while still maintaining good performance.

I just want to know why the video stops, is it related to frame rate? a copyrights issue? a command line to limit files at 2gb... DXV is great ok, but I just want to know why the video stops. I use sometimes big size uncompressed files with many details?
