play one clip

Post by Digitalmovement »

Hi, im new to Resolume.
Just bought it (Resolume Avenue 3) 2 weeks ago, and last weekend used it on Ground Zero Festival.
Great piece of software, i used it in combination with Touch OSC on my ipad2.

But i have a question:
I had some clips loaded, lets say columns 1 till 8 on 3 layers = 24 clips.
How can i make it so that it doesn't mix the clips that i push.
But plays only the clip i select?

Hope somebody nows what i mean.

Thanks in advance.

You have to think about is as layers (just like in photoshop).... The top layer will always show over the bottom layers.. depending on how you set the opacity and blend modes on layer/clip level...

So.. layer 3 will always show on top of layer 2, and layer 2 will always show on top of layer 1... etc..

When you don't want any mixing on layer level.. just use 1 layer...
You can use more layers too, but then you have to play with the opacity levels.. when you set the opactiy of layer 3 to 0%.. it wil only show the first layer below that is set to 100%... etc.. etc..
