wishlist for 2.42 - hope springs eternal

hi bart & edwin & all forum users

i know 2.41 is really old now and so on, but i'm still stuck with it. for me its still the easiest vjtool to perform live and it defines my style of vjing. i just want to set up a topic here for really basic features or fixes the 2.41 should get to last for another decade. i still love it, despite i play now with a lot of other tools! i know there have been a lot of other feature requests and development is focussed on newer versions, but lets discuss here what the most important fixes/enhancements are that do not change the basic concept of 2.41 but would keep 2.41 a very good tool.

my personal wish list:
- allow drag & drop from other applications directly into the bank. (explorer, bridge, ...)
- gui not fullscreen. means 1 moveable window

@bart & edwin: if you ever think about giving out the source to some developers that could hack those enhancements for you, please get in contact with me. hope springs eternal.

im not speaking officialy, but id guess that as they are about to release version 4, that version 2.41 is unlikely to be updated any more.

Sorry ivo but we're not developing on Resolume 2 anymore. We are aware however that Resolume 3 was a step forward for most but a step back for some in terms of simplicity.

thanx bart for your offical statement. thats of course not unexpected as time moves on and 3 is of course a really great tool. i dont know much about the upcoming 4 (is there any information released yet?). and as your resources are limited i did not even expect you to work on 2.41 at all.

the idea behind my post was to find out if there are still some using 2.41 (i know some others that love it) and what you think about opening it in some way to allow some kind of a community build, that just fixes some basic stuff, in a way it does not compete with the newer version...

i would really love it and i would also try to hack it.

I also use the version 2.41 The reason is because I usually use swf files. This version is so much stable than the Avenue with this kind of files.
Bart, there are any posibility to include those parts of the previous version in the Avenue version? I mean, AS2 and the variables "Raudio" and "Rparameter"
I hope that thing more than a new version
