Clip Follow Action

I'd like to see a Follow action implemented on clip triggering like in ableton live.

For example after a specific clip is played, if it is set to play once or for a set loop, there could be a follow action. This could be similar to ableton live were the next clip in the layer would be triggered, or the first or last, etc.... (see attached image)

This would allow some complex arrangements. For example the first clip could be an intro video that is followed by the second clip that is a bpm loop. That second clip would play right after the first seamlessly. That way the clip does not need to be manually triggered and can be connected with its intro clip.

I know there is auto pilot that switch to the next clip or a random clip on the layer, but I'm thinking on a per clip basis so that there is deliberate control.

woah!!! nice. I never noticed those controls when testing R4.

Very cool. I just tried it out. However the functionality is a bit off since those controls don't actually cause a follow through action unless the layer Auto Pilot controls are enabled. So if I only wanted one or two clips to have a follow action, I would have to set the rest of the clips on the layer to "do nothing".

Even so the "do nothing" auto pilot function does not seem to work as I would expect, instead of just holding on that clips normal behavior the clip stop playing after one play even though the clip is set to loop. This causes the screen to go blank. So with the current setup there is no way to do what I described above. Play one clip once, then have the next clip loop forever.

It would be ideal to have more control directly in the clip. for example set the amount of times the clip loops/plays before the follow through action occurs, enable a follow through action on the clip itself instead of just functioning when the layer auto pilot is enabled. Not to mention fixing the "do nothing' setting revert to the normal play state of the clip.

I'm excited about this new feature, is there something I'm doing wrong or is there a way to achieve the results I'm looking for without having ableton live do the triggering?
