dxv 60fps

Post by gregsully »

Making a new round of media in the studio.. Making 60fps vs 30.. I hae not really tested it yet.. Does anyone have any quick opinion of DXV media clips that are 60fps vs 30?

Hey Greg, interesting question. I personally havent tried 60fps and dont know if any other members have. How come your using 60fps as opposed to 30fps? i'd be interested in hearing the outcome :)

We haven't tried it ourselves actually but i'm interested to hear what it will look like. Are you using photorealistic material or more graphical work. Would be nice if you could post two versions of a clip rendered at 30 and 60 fps.

would you also be trying some slow-mo clips? would it work smoothly?

My media i create is typically minimal vector work. I don't expect to see much of a difference in when played at 100% but at 60fps should allow me to slow it down to at least half speed and still be very smooth.. I'm just worried too much media at 60fps will tax gpu.

I just made a bunch of stuff @ 60fps.. with thought of running it thru after effects at 30 if it was not working out.. but I have not tested it in Resolume properly yet.. I will let you know when i do..
