Mixing streaming video from the internet

Post by KevinC »

I am trying to mix some video content live from the internet. There are a few live webcams on earth cam that I want to incorporate into my next project and I cant seem to find a way to do this. Ideas?

second computer and video mixer/grabber ;)

maybe you can run it from 1 computer with second outputscreen for inet-streams and mix them via mixer or grabber....

don't think there's a useable screen-grab solution which works as resolume source...

ehm....ehm... I know how it wooooorks...I know how it wooooorks...!!!! :D

-U may need two screens plus the ammount of your outputs-

One screen shows u the Resolume interface..on the other screen you place all the webcamwindows you want to mix with.

Now u need a vitual webcam software like "Fake Webcam" or "Vitual Cam" or...or or or
These tools are simulating a windows systemwebcam wich can be used in resolume like any other source.

I dont know exactly wich v.cam software gives u the possibility to define a desktoparea to capture from.... but I know..some do! So..all u have to do know is to define the desktop capturearea with your webcamwindows.

Insert some copys of the v.cam source in resolume to your composition...and crop, scale or position them just the way u like.

HaveFun!

Thanks, the virtual webcam sounds like a brilliant way to get that to work. Look forward to trying it out.

Thanks,
