Installation

Post by samhodgkiss »

Hey Guys, been playing around and enjoying it so far.

Will be reporting back after this weekend as i have all weekend to play around in a club environment. (not live) :)

One small thing so far.

When installing, would it be possible to allow a custom install directory instead of it defaulting to program files?

Cheers

Some small but hidden gems:

I like that a new deck will take on the name of the footage folder when importing clips.
When clicking on the resize to screen button this cycles through a few different modes (or has it always done that?)
Deck switching seems much faster - although I haven't connected to an output yet which may make a difference.

Issues so far:

I managed to confuse the auto pilot function by setting a clip to play next clip. when reaching this clip it would only loop this clip and not move to the next one even after changing its behaviour to other modes. Even deleting the clip and importing it again did not change this behaviour. I will try and replicate again and see what happens after a reboot.

Selecting multiple clips and resize to fit composition doesn't work. Not sure if this is intentional? but would be nice if you could resize all the clips in a layer to the composition size.

No, this is not possible. You can move the files manually, but you would have to reconnect all the paths (plugins etc) yourself in the preferences.

This sounds like a bug, would be great if you could replicate.

Again, this should work, and sounds like a bug. Are some of the clips already resized?
