No Audio Output

Hi,

today i started to connect my pc with the club sound equipment.
If i start the Windowsmedia player i can hear every track, sounds aso. but if i try in Resolume i hear nothing.

i checked the settings, same as in Windows
- High Definiton Audio
- Left & Right
- 44100Hz
- 512

tried also the otherone (primary sound), but still the same.

what´s the problem?

high definition seems to be onboard sound by realtek. try a buffer size of 1024 instead of 512. when I use the realtek driver for FFT it won't work with a value beneath 1024. what I suggest is you use http://www.asio4all.com. it works fine with a buffer of 256.

i tried 256 to 4096... some i hear something like quiet knocking/noise
ok i´ll try asio drivers. Just wondering why mediaplayer is no problem and resolume didn´t output anyhting

shouldn't need to.

what is it you play inside resolume? tried a wav-file only?

I'm not quite sure what you want to achieve, but please keep in mind that external sources are only available for FFT analysis. If you want to further process or record an audio signal, it has to play in Resolume itself.

i want to play sound from videos/footage => club-speakers (Output)
I tried movs and i tried the demo footage from resolume...
at home i have resolume too and there it is no problem to get sound out to speakers or headphones.
But on this computer (primary VJ-Workstation) i don´t hear anything via resolume.

Next step is to use FFT as input... (not recorcding!)

edit: so i tried asio, every possible settings and also an external usb soundblaster...
windows = sound
resolume = nothing /quiet noise

and @ home i just selceted "primary sound device" and everything is fine

Had a look at the Windows mixer in the task bar? Maybe you have muted Resolume by accident.
