APC40

Post by v.j.YOSH »

I am using the AKAI APC40 to control avenue\arena and using the suggested Alternate Abelton Live Mode.
any chance you can - on the next versions - make the output die the CLIP STOP buttons row in red instead of the normal green?

any possiblty to decide on which color to die a button will be incredible, but i will suffice with the clip stop in red

The colors is not something we we'll have time to work on i'm afraid. That will be something for later updates.
Can't you use a controller to map the BPM value field itself?

from some reason it doesn't let me actually choose the + or the - , but instead only the BPM field and as a result it jumps in 400 BPM every click...

Hi vj Yosh, I'm planning to buy the akai APC40. One question, do you have a hard time mapping the midi clips and dashboards? Are you happy with the tandem Resolume-Apc-40???

Thanks buddy.

It's a super combination, and if the Resolume guys will add the Coloring ability, i will defintly celebrate or at least find a good party to VJ in

the only thing missing is motorized faders. but for that you'll have to shift to the AKAI forum

previewing clips with the APC-40

Post by Huibert »

Hello. I am using Resolume 4 Arena with the APC-40. I hope someone can explain me what the best way is to use my APC-40 for previewing clips. To launch my clips I use the 8 rows and the 5 buttons in each row = 40 clips in one set. So it would be nice when I can use the same buttons for previewing but with pressing a shift (or whatever) on the same time. I appreciate your help!! :ugeek:

That's a fantastic idea i hope the RES guys will adopt!
because the APC40 has buttons that are able to change colors, it will be super if while entering the 'shift mode' all the 8X5 buttons will change color to blue or purple or whatever to indicate that it's now on "press to preview" mode...

When I throw a column, the button corresponding to that column does not stay on.
For me it is very important, in order to know where I am, especially for theater events and presentations, which require maximum control of the situation, which is one of the important things that you would expect of a media server ...

Also next column and next deck, would be of great help.

Thanks Resolume team...
