Hi,
Im a big user of both Avenue, and more recently, Arena - using them for gigs, workshops etc everyday for the past 3 years. I run a Macbook Pro on OSX 10.5.8, 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M.
I have always found resolume rock steady, and was also running the beta of Arena without a single crash. That was until recently, when on startup, both Avenue and Arena crash repeatedly. Removing the displayport adapter and plugging it back in seems to alleviate the problem temporarily and allow the program and composition to be loaded. Although, this has made me very wary of its reliability for large scale gigs.
Recently I have installed windows on bootcamp, with tagtool and cubase. I have also installed a midi driver for one of the midi-man interfaces on my osx side. These are the only changes to be made on my system. Is there a conflict that is glaringly obvious and could be causing this glitch? Perhaps I am being naive in thinking that windows can run harmoniously with bootcamp?
short of returning my system to its original state, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bec
Crash On Start-up
Re: Crash On Start-up
A good thing to try with startup crashes is to delete (or rather move) the preferences file (can be found in the application folder). If that doesn't work, could you send us the log files (mail * at * resolume * dot * com)?
