Hi,
what graphic card (dualhead) to use for good resolution (640x480 or 800x600) ?
(i have one radeon 7500 dualhead and geforce 3 ti 200.)
radeon 8500 ?
radeon or Geforce or Matrox ?
and what config of my computer
excuse me thhis english.
i'm french graphic designer.
Config to work with resolume ?
be sure it supports some kind of overlaymode like the MATROX cards (DVD Max) or the RADEON cards (Theater-Mode).
I would go for a RADEON (e.g. 9600 Pro). It has nice video signal quality, supports various kinds of Dual HEad setttings (most important the overlay mode) and is also able to render 3Dgrafix...
what do the others think 'bout htat??

u ask for a 640x480 resolution. i work in 320x240. i got an ati 9200 on my laptop. it works fine, still i cannot push too much, like layering 3 avi's and add effects on them.
i'm curious to konw if it's possible to run well enough resolume with a resolution 640x480 at least.
so let me know who makes it and which hardware and configuration allows it.
tnx

either of the higher end Matrox or Radeon range of cards should work - personally i prefer Matrox - they have a lot of functionality for adjusting your video output signal, but in general the Radeon cards will be cheaper and better at 3D stuff
- i'd probably agree with crazycracker - a Radeon 9600pro should be fine.
Regardless of which card you choose though, so need to have very fast harddrives (or a RAID) to maintain the data rate neede for several layers of 640 x 480.
The western digital sATA 10,000 rpm raptor drives are excellent.

This explains how to set an ATI card for theatre mode. I find that I sometimes have to click the dulascreen button in Resolume and click it again to redock the preview before the DVDMax/TheatreMode kicks in.
