Is it a question or an advice? Because if you see my prrevious posts, you'll see I can get BM to run smoothly. My problem is choppy video.
Anyways Shuttle works in R3. Only in specific circumstances.
Yeah I did see that later. Didn't realize this was an older post. Whats the specs on your system and setting for the video being captured? I have not noticed it choppy. Just that it does need to be scaled up about 15% in resolume, sort of odd, because the source video is 1920x1080 and the session is the same so you would think it would match but its not a big deal.. Just wish I could get a second one going off the express card, seems no dice on that..
Computer Spec:
2nd Generation i7
8 Gig Ram
ATI 6770M GPU
Windows 7
BMD Intensity Shuttle Running 1080p 29.97
Computer has plenty of beef. It runs Res Arena with many HD layers. When running a single layer of Intensity Shuttle , it just isn't smooth.
FYI: Black Magic-Design app " Media Express" runs the captured stream very smoothly.
Got to be Resolume that makes it choppy.
I haven't done further tests. (No change settings, no R3 tests on this laptop)
Just dissapointed that it don't work at my initial attempt. I waited a long time to see if the changes in R4 has improved the Intensity capture . The other Intensity issues I have with my ultimate server (MSI Big-bang Marshal, 8 Intensities capable) has yet to be dealt with. I'll go there when I think R4 is more stable, as for now R3 works great with limitations.
Got other stuff at the moment which has greater importance and I just wanted to try this laptop with the Intensity since I got all the components , although I won't rely on this laptop for capture stuff.
Would be nice to know that it works efficiently with R4
Work out the issues?
I am working on a build now that will incorporate two Intensity Pro cards as inputs. What are your issues with the MSI rig and intensity?
The specs above is for my laptop.
And No I haven't work out the choppy video issue. Don't have time for it.
My MSI rig under Res3 could handle 6 Intensity Pro cards in Windows . Mac 4 cards without issues.
My MSI rig under Res4 , still untested. I really don't have the time. Or it is the least of my priorities. Under Res3 it is stable and can run the amount of Intensity Cards I currently need.
Currently I am concentrating on my project van. " Imagine projection mapping on a 1958 Grumman Olson while in motion."
