setup question / 3840 x 512

hi there,

i need a little help with a setup.

this will be my second setup with Resolume Arena 4.0.1, so i don´t have so much experience with the technical site.

i have a to do a 3840 x 512 px setup and the client just need one DVI from me.

it sounds for me like a strange size (i expect more a 3840 x 1024).

will this work with one DVI? and will this work with my graphic card?

my machine will be a mac pro / 2 x 2.93 6 core / ATI HD5770 1 GB /

This is not possible under normal conditions.
The max. resolution with one single DVI dual-link plug&cable + the right graficcard is 2560×1600px.

In your case you have the right card to reach 2560x1600... = you have to split the signal on two DVI out
2x1920x512 .....I'm not shure if this resolution is possible with your ATI card...with an NVidia card you can create custom resolutions.

And by the way 3840 x 512px is a wonderful looking format.

You can try SwitchResX. It's a very good software to create custom resolutions...

that´s what i thougth...strange resolution. (and i very like the superwide format )

my ATI doesn´t support 1920 x 512. only 1920 x 1080 and 1920 x 1440.

the max of one DVI out is 2560 x 1440.

if i try a TrippleHeadTo2Go with 3 x 1280x1024 what will my ATI say?
