i´m missing a folder in the Video FFGL browser for my "favorite" effects.

(maybe there is a possibilty and i´m to blind 8-) )

Nice... and all favs fx in this folder saves the fx configuration too.

I would rather prefer to tag effects and search for tags (like "#color" "#distortion" "#time" "#transform" "#veddersFavorites" maybe "#lastUsed" etc)

And also something like "find next". The search function was really a big step forward! - but if a preset of RGBDelay is called "Trails" - you will never find the "Tails" effect using the search function. Maybe I miss something - any hidden function?

also creating presets which contain more than 1 effect would be handy
(often i need this for screen positioning or color correction/keying etc...)

I agree, maybe saving EffectClips as FX presets would do the trick? (why can't we save them at all? - as video clip without video :) )

I also think the merge function for EffectClips should work the other way around. When you drag an EffectClip onto a video clip (holding the CAPS key) with already applied FX, it should merge (append) the FXs, but leave the video clip in place. Right now (4.0.1) it appends the FX and clears the video clip.
