is this similar to what trapcode can do? use different images as particles?

Yes and I´ve heard there are other famous VJ Softwares that can do it. ;) I wonder about performance but it should work somehow - hopefully.

haha yes there are other softwares and one particle software has an ok system. could be good. I think there is a lot of potential. - did you see the thread on being able to import obj's? - I think it was inspired by that new TC plugin.

Particles from layer. Got AE and its easy to do so much cool pre-rendered particles.

How about from a layer. Image should definitely be minimum.

Yes , Visualjockey was nice. But obsolete.

Anyways Quartz can do it. I guess should use it via syphon, or another technique.

you can use the IR Cosmic Pack
there is a FFGL Particle Effect (Fontain of Screens).
works like a charm!

Little question:
I'm getting a massive fps down in arena when I apply the particles fx.
From 75 to 5fps. Is that normal?

Nividia Quadro fx 880m - i7 820qm
(I remember to achieve better fps in a Nvidia 6200 - PIV machine)
