apply effect in arena

hi all
I have a surprising problem actually . I use arena 4.01
with an alienware laptop. dualcore extreme 2.8 ghz.
nvidia 8800GTX.
everything is working perfectly except one thing !
I can just apply 10 effect at all and after when I drag other
nothing happen .
For example actually I use 8 effects on a layer
and two effect on the final composition and that s all.
No way to apply effect on other layer or on individual
loop.
any ideas ?!!!

Hmmm, maybe the effects fail to load because the GPU is out of resources. What kind of effects are you using and what resolution is your composition. I think NVIDIA might have a tool to look at you resources of your card. I know ATI has it in it's control panel. YOu might get a clue why plugins won't load anymore. It's certainly not a limit we build in
