Ive been setting up a project where I have added a syphon server to each layer effects slot.
So in Millumin I can add 3 or 4 Syphon server layers and drag them where ever. This way I can have a fullscreen "titles" layer in Resolume, but in Millumin I can resize it and place it wherever i want. No need to arrange the screen areas for mapping in Resolume, which is a bit slow...
BUT, Ive run into a hitch.. NONE of the LAYER EFFECTS will now work... like simply fading out!... this is NOT reflected in the syphon output.
This is very annoying because I dont want to swap over to Millumin mid-show JUST to fade out a layer (not that Millumin can do that very well anyway...)
Is this an error in Resulume? Its like the Layer output is "tapped" PRE-FADE (to use an audio analogy) I dont see the point of this, and renders it useless for me... At first I thought that being able to add multiple Sypon servers was AMAZING... but now.. I have NO IDEA how to map this project.
All it is is a few films that should be projected on different surfaces on the stage... (Titles go on the back wall, then a few screen are lying around on the stage... I really hoped to leave everything fullscreen in Res, and just drag em where I need them during set-up in Millimum..
Any Ideas?
Syphon server on layers...
Re: Syphon server on layers...
Having an effect applies post-fader is not an option, because some effects (like Add/Subtract) could still create output while the layer fader is turned down.Is this an error in Resulume? To get what you're after, maybe it's enough to apply a Brightness/Contrast filter before the Syphon filter?

Ahh, nifty work-around, fraid it doesnt work for me cos Im doinf fading out automatically by adding a timeline to the layer fader...
wait... hmm.. guess I could do that to the brightness and contrast effect too...
ok... clever clogs... [SOLVED]
