Hello,
I am looking for a solution to retrieve external sources (camera, DVD player, PC, ...) on my PC (Asus ROG G73SW-TZ146V), to centralize these sources in Resolume Arena before sending the signal to MatroxTripleHead / VP 's ...
I already have an Edirol V4 mixer, so what i need to centralize my external sources, it simply lacks the binding Edirol V4 (Composite or S-Video output only...) to my laptop.
Is there an external capture card that will work for sure with this configuration (Edirol V4 - Resolume Arena) or another quick fix ..?
Thank you in advance for the interest you can bring to this query.

I use the ADVC (via Firewire) http://www.grassvalley.com/products/advc55 on Win and Mac. But it introduces 6-8 frames (=300ms @25fps) additional delay! - I think the blackmagic cards are faster, and AFAIK supported and suggested by Resolume. http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/intensity/

I used to use this little tool : http://easycapexpertti.mybisi.com/produ ... ideo-to-yt
worked great with almost no latency, but since the update to Resolume4, it doesn't seem to work any more....

Re: external sources + Edirol V.4 + Resolume Arena
Thanks for yours interests and answers
I think the Blackmagic Design products are perhaps best able for my needs.
Having a connection usb3 my choice would be to the Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0.
However I do have a question, I did a port usb3 and it is already connected to an external hard drive (powered via AC outlet) which are stored on my videos, setting up a usb3 hub allowing me connecting the hard drive and capture card (self-powered by usb3) on the same port does will not too penalizing the flow of both video streams?
...hula, how many times have I used the word usb3 in this post..?..
Thanks again!

depends how many USB3 controllers your machine has. if it's a laptop, you probably only have 1, and you will definitely run into problems trying to share the bandwidth with your clips, and the capture device.
Also note that the motherboard of your computer must be at least X58 certified to use the BM intensity shuttle. Some people miss that bit in the system req's from BM...

Re: external sources + Edirol V.4 + Resolume Arena
Ok, I think the case is not won yet ...
It seems I may have problems with connectivity usb3 ... What is needed is that I test, I'll see if there is opportunity to do so from a retailer ...
Someone told me that a device like the Dazzle Video Creator Platinum HD (http://www.materiel.net/peripherique-de ... 73860.html // connected by usb2) might be enough, I have doubts, especially about its compatibility with Resolume ..?
If not, what alternative for capturing video in Resolume? it's misery isn't it?
I continued my search for a solution, thank..
