5 screen video clips

Post by timdas »

Hello
I have a system with 5 in line video projectors and I want to show panoramic video clips (cities, nature, etc).
Do you have any idea where I can find 4000X600 videos of something close to this ratio ?
Stretching 1920x1080 is not a solution.
Thank you

only new very expensive cameras like RED record in 4k solution, so it's not quiet easy to get such footage...
maybe you will find some stock footage in 4k resolution... but it won't be cheap at all i think ;)

maybe you can use high resolution panorama pictures and animate them a little bit...

I suppose one thing you could do for example cities... is do it cg.

This of course will depend on the realism that your going for. Like HerrNieDa says 4k is expensive.

what is the job for?

cool, yeah you'd be hard pushed with cg. maybes not though depending on realism.

this is all cg...

There is quite some stock footage around, you might consider playing multiple files at 1920x1080 simultaneously or create one big (resolution wise) file out of multiple HD files.
You can find 4k footage here for instance, just did a quick search on google and found this site:
http://www.naturefootage.com
Do an advanced search and choose 'Ultra High Definition 4k'.

If it's panoramas you're after, this is very easy to do using stills. You can always animate/comp little details like silhouetted birds, moving clouds, light changes etc
