Macbook video out question.

Post by Million Dollar »

Hello,

I'm looking into getting Arena 4 and a Macbook (17inch). I'm from a lighting design background and am just venturing into the video world so am after some advice on the best way to output from the mac to 2/3/4 projectors or low res LED walls. Any recommendations of hardware interfaces and general tips are most welcome!

Thanks in advance,

MD.

Matrox Triplehead2Go is the most common method for sending multiple video outs from a Macbook.

Should run you ~$300 new, bit less used, and it's pretty simple to configure and get rolling.

you can get the cheaper chinese versions which seem to be ok and a little cheaper. unsure of what they are called though.

Datapath X4, gives you 4 outputs, and way more flexibility, and reliability.
