performance slow down

Post by 1mpar »

Hi, I was working on a video mapping project with 800x600 clips, a input from a camera and a midi controller (inside a 1920x1080 composition). I was sending the output to mad mapper via syphon (I tried without mad mapper and the problem continued).

As I started playing, the performance became slower and slower, and after about 30 minutes it was impossible to control anything from the midi controller, because it has a huge latency. When I turned a knob, it took many seconds to reach the final position.

I'm using OSX Lion and resolume arena 4.0.0. My midi controller is a novation SL (but I think this device is not the problem).

In the MAC monitor, resolume is using al least 150% of the processor, even if there are no clips palying. and sometines it reaches 200% or more.
Does anyone has the same problem? What could be the solution?

Hey 1mpar... I recently have had performance issues with he program because of low RAM. I would suggest that you have more than 3gb of RAM if you don't already. I don't know if that will help at all. I'm still running Snow Leopard though, and it seems to be faster and more smooth than Lion. Hope you figure out. :)

The best is to run the latter version of the software, now: 4.0.1

I have 8G of RAM, so this may not be the problem.
I updated to 4.0.1 and I'll test this weekend again.
