I'm running Resolume 4 Avenue (on Windows 7, just the trial version for now while I fiddle with it) and for the first time today I had access to a second screen to play with the output. The second screen (widescreen TV in this case, HDMI output) works fine in general, been watching movies with it and everything. I opened Resolume and selected "fullscreen" from the output menu, and then everything broke.
Now I get only a black screen - on the primary monitor, not the second one. I can't alt+tab out or alt+enter. Alt+f4 doesn't work either. If I Ctrl+Alt+Del, the black display (which is my fullscreen output) is minimized, but I can't interact with anything else. If I try to go back into Resolume to disable the output, I can't click on anything. I click once and the pointer disappears. I click again and it comes back. But I can't interact with anything or even close the program without shutting down the process from the task manager. I tried restarting Resolume but the fullscreen is open from the start, and the whole process begins again.
For now the only thing I can think of to do is reinstall the software and start from scratch (I'm downloading the installer now). But it's going to be a pain to have to set up all my options and libraries again, and I'd like to know what's causing this problem so I can avoid it in the future. Any ideas? Sorry if this is some sort of common problem or if I'm just missing some obvious command - I know I am a newbie at this - but I did a search of the forums and the internet in general and couldn't find this problem anywhere else. Thanks a lot in advance for any advice.
EDIT: Started clean. Realized I had accidentally chosen my first screen for the output rather than the second one last time, so I tried it again, windowed on the second screen this time. The output was successful but extremely small and I couldn't find a way to resize it. I tried going into the advanced output mode and suddenly it was back on the first screen, fullscreen, and again I couldn't get out of it. Somehow, not sure exactly which sequence of keypresses I used, I managed to minimize the fullscreen and get the advanced options window open, but it was still stuck (no interaction with the program possible) - no matter what I did, I couldn't get the output back to the second screen, and I couldn't close the fullscreen. Now it's stuck exactly how it was before. Is this a bug, or am I missing something? Thanks!

Re: Frozen on second screen output
You will now learn the most important shortcut for Resolume, ever.
CTRL-SHIFT-D
This will disable all outputs and solve all your problems. It also makes coffee and bakes delicious apple pie. If there was any better shortcut, I'd marry it.

Re: Frozen on second screen output
Thank you very much! Good to be able to close that. On the other hand, I still can't make it work. I can get windowed output on the second screen, but when I select fullscreen on that screen it puts it on the first screen instead. I tried output to display 1 and to display 3. Windowed works properly, but TINY on display 3 (the TV). Fullscreen puts it on my computer monitor no matter what I do. What am I missing here?

I am indeed a girl.
Okay, so how can I switch to my dedicated graphics card? I specifically bought this computer because my (experienced) VJ friend assured me the system specs were very impressive and well above good enough to run Resolume with no problems, but I don't know much about hardware, still learning. I'm told I have natural skill in VJing but I still need to learn all the technical aspects in order to do it without my friend looking over my shoulder to fix it every time something goes wrong.
I do appreciate the help by the way. In some forums newbies are not exactly welcomed with open arms and polite assistance - although perhaps my being a girl in a predominately male area of interest doesn't hurt?
EDIT: By the way, I saw that post before you changed it from "if she is a girl, now I have her email."

If you're okay with that joke, maybe I can have your phone number as well?
Anyway, if you let us know the computer specs maybe we can help some more. Some computers have two graphic card and you need to tell them to use the high end one.
