DXV converting multiplies de file size by 20! Is this normal

Post by carlatf »

Hi,

I started to convert some .mov, mp4 and other files to the DXV codec via MPEG_streamclip but what I noticed is that a
10MB video file turns into a 200mb .mov DXV file.

Is this normal? I've read a lot about the performance improvement of the codec but if each of my video files is going to be 20 times larger then I can't convert all my videos.

Best regards,
Carla

Yeah DXV is know for its large file size, do you have the latest codec installed?

Yes. It's ok for small files but for larger files it's not very convenient.
