I have gone from very occasional crashes in 4.1.1 to very frequent ones in 4.1.2. It could be because of a heavily taxed system: I have Ableton Live with a Maschine plug-in running on the same Mac Pro 8-core as Resolume Avenue. My Resolume set has 10 rows x 12 columns of clips, about half filled. I am also using an AJA Kona Lhe card for live video input, as well as a Webcam for a second camera. The composition is outputting at 1280 x 720. There isn't any specific event that causes the crash. It happens after about 5 minutes of use when I am mixing two or three tracks consistently with cameras and clips. I never have more than 3 layers running at the same time.
When I go back to 4.1.1 it is very stable. I just ran my material for over 30 minutes without a crash.
Thanks, Randall

Since your issue seems to be specific for your setup/usercase, I think it's best if you contact us directly.
Re: Frequent crashes in 4.1.2
I am having somewhat of a similar problem on my 17" macbook pro 2011. I just completely reinstalled Mountain Lion from scratch hoping it would solve the crashes. According to what the apple store found in my log Avenue is getting Bus Errors and I seem to have most of my problems when using the second camera that is plugged in via firewire. Its an apple iSight webcam. I have this same problem in avenue 4.1.2 and 4.1.1
Re: Frequent crashes in 4.1.2
As I recall, op's problem was solved by removing unused VST plugins.
I don't think that will solve your problem though. We know how to read Avenue logs as well, so please contact us directly.
