Time Delay

Post by Tecno` »

I have just done an event mapping Resolume across multiple projectors.

One of these projectors was being mixed through a vision mixer that added a slight delay, making the video slightly out of sync across the projectors.

Could we have a feature where we can add a delay to screens or slices in the advanced output to compensate?

This would want to be either in milliseconds or frames.

Thanks,

Tim

Hmmm. Interesting. We'll bounce it around the office :)

hmmm...good point. I haven't had this issue with vision videomixers before...but I often heard about this from colleges. So...

This is the best picture that I can find showing the setup and the delay.

And the same stage item using Imag on the rearpro screen:

We had two projectors covering the two drapes softedged on the bottom drape and the centre screen was a rear pro screen running through a vision mixer to allow for camera mix.
The mixer we use is a Blackmagic Atem 1ME which can take HDMI from the computer as well as (HD)SDI from Camera's.

We then had a forth projector on a drape that unscrolled with a Kabuki drop at the end.

+1 for this feature

I've run into this before when doing huge LED setups. One company was doing all the low res and another the high res IMAG and DJ booth screens. There was almost a one beat delay between the two types of products. Yeesh.

Would be amazing if this could even be slice based as that is what it would take to deal with the situation I mentioned above.
