Effect timer to reset.

Post by philatub »

Hello,

Is it possible to reset a video effect parameter. This parameter is controlled by a midi device accessible to the audience but I want it to be reset to zero every 5 minutes as there is nobody to do it manually.
Maybe I though to have two clips : one with effect and the others without and use ten "play next clip" function with a 5min timer but I need they play in sync as the cut must be almost invisible and I don't know how to do ?

If anyone as a suggestion, it would be much appreciated, the exhibition starts Nov the 7 th...

Hi philatub,

I have no idea how to solve this with Resolume only. But I have 2 ideas. ;)

1) you could use IRWorkshop's 'OSCSA 4' Plugin. If you set it up correctly the plugin would (re)set one OSC address at every step (the plugin has 4 steps). So you could have a 5 minute clip, played at 25% speed, and every step (means every 5 mins), it would send out someting like /composition/video/effect1/param1/values to reset your parameter.

2) use an external sequencer (Ableoton Live, Iannix, etc.) which sends every 5 minutes a MIDI or OSC message.
