I'm trying to run arena on 2 separate MacBooks 2 separate compositions and somehow have them both output to one output (hdmi/dvi)
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/8 ... I_and.html
i was told this maybe a solution. Anyone have any feedback or have they tried to route resolume into a capture device to receive in resolume again to then send the main output?
or
if you know any other way to get 2 macbook pros to run to one output : )?
show is nye

Re: 2macbook pro 1output

This hardware should do the job:
- Edirol V8 LINK
- Spark D-Fuser DVI Mixer LINK
- something similar
But to do it with a Blackmagic Input device is also a good way.

Re: 2macbook pro 1output
A mixer is a good idea, but note that a V8 does not have a DVI/HDMI output, only composite.
Re: 2macbook pro 1output
Dis guy is pretty cool and doesn't afraid of anything except for a simple hardware control system from tvderpone:

Re: 2macbook pro 1output
that spark dfuser looks pretty much like the solution I was looking for but it doesn't look like you can order it at the moment. : (
Re: 2macbook pro 1output
@4eyes: I'm pretty shure that the tv-ones can not mix two inputs 50 by 50%.... you can have a seamless fade between your inputs. But I think it's not possible to stop the fade after half of the fadetime!?
Hmmmm...Maybe with the PiP function!?....very unhandy I think.
