64bit resolume and CPU utilization

Post by hive8 »

I had a question, are there plans of making a 64bit version of Resolume? Also if i start Resolume and don't play any preview or video i see a 22% CPU utilization, are there any settings to make Resolume more resource friendly.

I am running on Windows 8, with a MBP 15", 2.6 i7 CPU with 8GB RAM, OCZ Vertex 4 256GB SSD.

I'm sure this has been asked before and the answer was something along the lines of...

Resolume wouldnt improve performance on 64bit as all of the power is down on the gpu with the dxv codec. (correct me if im wrong)

I'm also sure this has been suggested before but i can't find any information when i've searched.

i just recognised as i switched from xp to xp64 that the file system simply runs faster (copying many small files etc... ) and resolume decks load faster....
don't worked with win7 32bit yet, but i think the file system should also be faster in win7 32bit!
