Hi there,
Does anyone know some video effects compatible with Resolume that could be easily "sound controlled" ?
Actually, I'm looking for a software that could capture ambiant sound and convert its amplitude, beat, or filtered frequencies ( or, ... ) into midi controls and/or notes values, and to send it to Resolume ( or any other midi software ) over midi.
I'll search also and let know my findings.
Sound-controlled effects
Re: Sound-controlled effects
Hi Fred,
to pick up a beat and send it to resolume via midiclock:
Korg - Kaoss Pad 3

Soundbite Micro

///
Just a simple way to trigger vfx with any kind of audio is to use the buildins of resolume

But be shure...there are many other ways out there to realize this. For example the "VVVV" Tool!

Re: Sound-controlled effects
Pages #30 & #42 of the manual explain this in detail.
You should be able to do everything you asked about within Resolume,
third party software/hardware is not necessary for what you are trying to achieve.
RTFM

Hi,
Whaoo, just what I was looking for, all in one. This is extremely powerful as an embedded feature.
Great thanks

Re: Sound-controlled effects
So no BPM audio to MIDI conversion hardware whatsoever is needed with Resolume Arena 4?
Re: Sound-controlled effects
The original poster was asking how to take an audio signal and have it control parameters in Resolume. This is possible without any extra hardware.
Cosmowe then mentioned several hardware solutions to get a BPM value from the audio signal, for which additional hardware or software is required.

Re: Sound-controlled effects
Is there any other hardware solution similar and as efficient as SoundBite Micro? I can't seem to find it available in the USA new.
