Hello there.

I edit my own videos with final cut pro. After that I transfer them to my pc and use them for resolume. The problem i've got is that if I export my movies in the .mov file format, they are sharp and nice and not to big a size, but they don't play in resolume. (And this is even when I don't prepare them for internet streaming!!). When I export my movies with the cinepak codec and keyframe every frame it takes final cut hours to encode the movie and the quality is poor IS there anyone who also edits with Fianl Cut Pro and uses his or hers movies for Resolume? Can he give me his or hers best settings for a good quality movie for resolume? Thanks a bunch.

convert your nice sharp quicktime movies to an avi codec (eg mjpeg or indeo) on the PC.
Cinepak is an old codec with very limited colour space, so will not look good.
Personally i use PIC mjpeg avi

timEther> what you think about the indeo codec?

and if so .. why you think mjpeg works better?

indeo codec is pretty good - i still use it on older clips that i haven't converted to mjpeg. I've switched to PIC mpeg - i feel it gives a slightly better quality image (file size is about the same). It is not a free codec, but is pretty cheap (also is very fast to encode).

good luck

cinepak is good to use with black & white videos or videos with not much colors.
my laptop runs quicktime movies without problems...
It´s a ACER ferrari amd 2500 1.3Ghz 512mb ram and a ATI 9200 128Mb
