clips don't load. error "not enough input" on mac

hey guys. i tried to help a distant friend to install resolume on a mac, but when she wants to load clips from the file browser or desktop reso says:

error loading xml document // not enough input

what might be the problem? I asked her to try out different clips/codecs (dxv) or source fx, but as we are not together at one place its hard to find a solution for this error from the distance.. :/ any ideas?

ok, seems to be a problem with the codec.. mp4 oder mpeg insted of the recommended codecs/dxv
