Videomapping Naked Chicks

Post by philmcrackin »

I've tried search a bit on the forums and found nothing about this. Now i'd like to videomap some naked chicks with bodypaint. All the videos i've seen online doing this use IR Mapio I believe. What would the process to do this in Arena? Paint down the chick in white paint, take a photograph of her and then create a mask from that picture and then import said mask into Resolume then line up the projector with the chick. Is this basically the process? Thanks

I'd hit the wall behind the girl with IR light and capture a camera which has an IR filter. You now have a instant mask. Then just use arena to keystone everything. Not perfect but i've done it successfully.

I'm assuming this thread has about twice as much views as the others posted around the same time, because people are hoping it has pictures.

So here you go:

I have a couple Kinects kicking about. I'll create a small video next week showing how to do the effect with a kinect, quartz composer and Res 4. The frame rate isn't as beautiful as using a real camera, BUT the setup is more straight forward.

cool video but that's kinda overpriced for what it does.
