Mic or LineInput to MidiClock - Any alternatives to Wavesum

Post by deemyze »

Is there an option other than WaveSum or WaveTick to turn a Mic Input signal to wave clock?

(WaveSum WaveClock guys are way over priced in my opinion.)
Not sure why resolume didnt think to include that feature into resolume as most people VJing will be far away on the opposite site of the stage to control the visuals and need to sync them. Running a cable is not always practical.

I asked something similar and yeah its way too over priced. I wanted it for used with Res and also another app.

I'll check the alternative.
Resolume Avenue 3.3.3 - MBP i7, 8gb RAM - Snow Leopard (2010). Akai APC20

Maybe because real-time bmp analysis will never be as good like Midi-Click via wire or a Tap Tempo?

I tried the SoundbyteMicro and the KaossPad3 for real-time bmp analysis....what should I say?
70% of the time i'm on beat...10% i'm offbeat....and 20%....I don't know..getting bpm values from my grandmas walkman.

My advice for live visuals: TAP YOUR TEMPO!

In my case I do it with the KP3...because it has this fancy button and beside an encoder to finetune the bmp :)

Cheers
