hello I need to configure a project with 6 projectors & screen control.
I'm thinking of mounting a Matrox M9188 PCIe x16.
is correct.
any advice is appreciated.
this pc is correct:
asus-p9x79-e-ws
intel core i7 3930k
16 gb ram 1600
Matrox M9188 PCIe x16
blackmagic DeckLink Quad (capture)
ssd 128 gb (windows 7 64bit)
ssd 256 gb (visuals)
please advise me I have no experience with many projectors.
Thank you.
Matrox M9188 PCIe x16
Re: Matrox M9188 PCIe x16
i don't know if the matrox pcie card works with resolume and i don't think that the matrox has enough performance (can't find any reviews).
projectors really depends on your needs and on your budget

Re: Matrox M9188 PCIe x16
thank you very much for the reply so fast.
then you do not think that configuration has optimum performance.
which do you think would be an optimal configuration.
6 outputs to projectors + 1 output control monitor.
this help is much appreciated.
with my lack of experience is very easy to make a mistake and make a bad choice.
many thanks for the help.

Re: Matrox M9188 PCIe x16
Resolume does *not* work with Matrox cards. They are office cards, and not suitable for realtime graphics.
Re: Matrox M9188 PCIe x16
@Joris...Do you know if a Matrox card can be used a second card just for the outputs, with the main card being a Asus strix 970? or do they not work at all and have to use Matrox triple heads?
Re: Matrox M9188 PCIe x16
My recommendation would be NVIDIA GTX 980 Ti or 970 (depending on your content needs/budget) with 3x Displayport.
1 DP output -> Monitor (at 1080p to get 60Hz/Resolume can appear tiny in 4k)
2 other DP outs -> 2 Matrox TripleHead2Go's (can handle up to 3x 1080 each)
Then handle all mapping in Arena advanced output.

Re: Matrox M9188 PCIe x16
Yeah we have two asus strix 970's, and a single dp triplehead2go,I only ask because i just seen matrox came out with a 9 output single slot graphics card
Re: Matrox M9188 PCIe x16
Using a Matrox in tandem with a GTX is untested. If I had to take an educated guess, I would say it's not going to work.
The problem with the Matrox cards is not lack of performance, it's that they don't support the OpenGL version Resolume needs to create an image in the first place.
