Best Artnet Application
Best Artnet Application
I have a show coming up that is going to require at least 13 or 14 outputs. Instead of building some massive system with multiply GPUs, I want to link multiply servers together and sync them with artnet. Could someone please recommend an artnet application preferably windows based, that can play cues that can loop thru resolume columns. It would also be nice if it could be installed on the first media server and trigger both media servers. But I could also install it on an older netbook.

Any dmx lighting console should output artnet, at least anything from this century
I'm personally a Jands Vista fan because of the timeline features which work really well with video and media server systems. Runs pc or mac: www.jandsvista.com/download
free software, but output is enabled via dongle.
I'd probably run the artnet software off a separate machine though, and drop everything together with a network switch. You can throw the software on all the servers and run them in tracking backup mode as well, in the event your primary goes down the other two will still stay active

Thanks I'll take a look at it. I understand that lightning consoles have artnet, we typically use perl desks for shows. The purpose of this post is to not have to use a desk, but use software. If all I need to do is sync multi video servers then it seems a bit much to rent a desk to a client.

only way to get it is through some form of lighting software
pearls can only output artnet if they're on the titan os....2000/2004/2008/2010 won't do it
