Hi,
we are running Resolume Avenue 4 on my friends old MacBook (late 2008). It's pretty laggy. It has 4Gt of RAM, but I was thinking of upgrading it to 6Gt. Would that help anything?
Would 2Gt more RAM improve performance?
Re: Would 2Gt more RAM improve performance?
Resolume is still 32 bit (curse you, QTKit), so everything more than 4GB of RAM makes no difference.
Unless you are running many apps simultaneously of course, but then a better optimization would be to only use one app at the time anyway.

If you're running a 64 bit os, you'll definitely benefit, as it will allow resolume to access 4 gb of ram itself while utilizing the rest for background tasks (like running the os)
