I'm having an occasional issue on two separate systems when triggering a clip from the keyboard while sending MIDI data. I am hitting 'Return' to launch selected clip(s) and at the same time pushing fader(s) up on my controller. Doesn't seem to matter whether it's one or multiple clips being played. On the controller side it has happened with and without a USB hub in line.
I can't reliably reproduce the crash but it has happened several times on both computers with different hardware specs and different controllers. Anyone else having this problem?
Both installs are Mountain Lion w/ Arena 4.1.6.

I've been hitting multitrigger and fading up several parameters for the last hour, but can't seem to reproduce this. What are you fading up exactly?

Re: Arena 4.1.6 crash with keyboard clip trigger
I'm able to reproduce the issue with the following steps. It doesn't happen every time but with some playing around you should get it.
-Prep a clip with looping Timeline transport
-Clear the layer it is in and have layer opacity down to 0%
-MIDI device should be mapped to fade layer opacity
1. Click the clip name so it shows up in the Preview, begins looping, and is highlighted for a 'Return' keyboard trigger.
2. Watch the clip's transport in the Property Panel, and just before it hits the end of the timeline to loop, simultaneously press 'Return' and fade up Layer Opacity with a MIDI device.
3. Mouse cursor should start beach balling. This won't immediately cause Resolume to crash or even freeze. Whatever is already playing should continue uninterrupted. You will have to Force Quit Arena to recover.

Re: Arena 4.1.6 crash with keyboard clip trigger
Thanks very much for the clear steps!
At first I got frustrated because I couldn't reproduce it, so I spammed the trigger clip button, and faded up repeatedly and lo and behold, I got a beachball. That seems to do it for me within 1 seconds.
Thanks for letting us know!

Is there a fix or a new build coming soon? I'm having a similar issue :/
Re: Arena 4.1.6 crash with keyboard clip trigger
I know how annoying this can be, this bug bit me in the ass four or five times this weekend.
It's been fixed and it will be part of the upcoming 4.1.7 release.
