output to a analogue TV

Post by musicarmichael »

Hello,

I have a query. I'm attempting to get my Resolume setup to be displayed on an old analogue TV. I have done some googling and so far have been unsuccessful with coming up or finding any solution.

I have a really cool ideas for a live performance, but I wanted to ask, has anyone come up with a solution to get your laptop to transmit to an analogue TV?

I saw this band do this once if this helps http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fujggZmGkJw

This is my first forum post! yay!

Ligawo ® HDMI to Scart converter

- HDMI in --> Scart Out
- inputsupport: HDMI 480i/p upto 1080i/p 50/60Hz
- This Ligawo converter will scale down your inputsignal to fbas

You will have to at least mention the output connection of your laptop and the input connection of your TV, otherwise this becomes a guessing game.

ok sorry for being vague. but I really have no clue how to make it work. I just have a macbook pro and I'm looking at getting whatever is needed to create a setup so it can go to an analogue tv...so set up and creating is from scratch! :)

I own a SEWELL Pc to TV Converter.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkWlVxg0BHc

It converts VGA output to RCA and/or SVHS.
It is not the best signal ever but analog TV isn´t also.
It´s kina cheap.
I hope your TV has a RCA input.

So, after converting VGA to RCA, you still need to find some old adapters (if there was ever one) from RCA to the TV Antenna Cabling.

oops, found this:

Well, adapter after adapter, my guess is that you will end up with some 1950´s image quality. ; )
