Need help. How can I use Arena to handle Digital Signage?

Hey, my company will be provided the screens for a few rugby matches. It's called Perimeter signage(The one that goes all the way around the pitch). They are LED Boards that we have wired up now I already know how to split the layers into different feeds but can someone give me ideas on what to do with the content? I also need help making transitions in one layer.

I am not too sure but we've seen another company at work with this software and it looked pretty impressive I'd like if we can display the advertisements and Captions/comments there and then

Also is there a free text plugin ?
