iOS app for setting up Advanced Output
iOS app for setting up Advanced Output
Right now I'm using a VCN to login in to do mapping. I find it much easier to map an object I'm standing in front of then being tethered to a media server. An iPad app would take it to the next level.
Re: iOS app for setting up Advanced Output
I use idisplay (http://www.getidisplay.com/) , it let's you use your tablet as second screen. Then i drag the advanced output to the 2nd screen and the tablet can be used as controller. It requires a wifi network offcourse.

Yes I understand there is many ways to remote in, however what I would like to see is an app that you see you screens and slices, and sends osc commands to the advanced output to move, and create slices
Re: iOS app for setting up Advanced Output
in what way would that be different to using the advanced output tab on a tablet? You can also create slices, move, edit points, etc... (osc would be great though, but for me mainly to be able to 'animate' the advanced output)
Re: iOS app for setting up Advanced Output
The first problem with VNC is it take resources, when VNC in to Resolume on my macbook, my fps drop from 60fps to about 7fps. Myself I would just prefer dedicated controls. All most all of Resolume is OSC aware, it would be nice to see this part of the application extended to OSC or midi or DMX

Re: iOS app for setting up Advanced Output
I'd rather see improvements made to Advanced Output before getting an iOS app to control it.
Re: iOS app for setting up Advanced Output
This is indeed also our priority.
We have some wicked ideas for connecting mobile devices and Resolume, but they're on the backburner for the time being.
Having said that, it feels kind of weird to have to drag a binoculars to shows or to shout and use sing language between the FOH and the stage. Having a mobile app for this is bordering on the line of necessity.

That's where a 100m cat5 cable comes in very useful and is much more reliable than screen sharing over wifi.
