50Mask specific layer

is there a way to 50mask only one specif layer and leave the other layers untouched?
like having 50mask on layer 4 affecting only Layer 3 and Layer 1 and 2 are not affected by the Mask.

or any suggestions how to achieve this?

So you want a mask on a layer? Does it have to be animated? If not, just drag a picture onto the layer. Now you have a mask only on that layer.
