USB Audio Interface

So I just upgraded to a MacBook Pro Retina and there is no more Line In port on this thing!

So I picked up a cheap $10 USB audio interface but the quality of the input audio really sucks. Can someone recommend a decent USB audio interface that would be good to use for external FFT in Resolume and other apps? I don't need any fancy DJ/audiophile features... although MIDI sync would be nice.

I've always ran into driver issues with cheap USB audio interfaces. I would recommend Focusrite audio interfaces. You may also go for the M-audio ones though in my opinion Focusrite is more stable.
