Resolution mystery

Post by inzieye »

Hi,

I've got a problem with exported clips :

1280x720 size is seen as 1248x702 in Resolume.
I don't know where I'm wrong.

using Compressor 3.5 after editing with FCP 7.

Thanks for your help!

Could it be you are rendering to a non-square pixel aspect ratio?

hi joris ;)

its true, if you use apple compressor to convert to DXV then the video is cropped and not only scaled.
if you have a HD video to convert you get a file with 1888x1062 pixels. when using QT 7 player to convert everything is ok

cheers

Hmmm. Looks like Apple is doing some fancy magic behind our backs again: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4265?viewlocale=en_US

Could either of you send us one of these files so we can check Resolume interprets the file correctly?

To solve this - You must in compressor[video] settings simply uncheck "add clean aperture information".
